About Me

My name is Katerina, and I’m a counsellor with a BA degree and over nine years of experience supporting adults who have experienced sexual violence and domestic abuse. I’m also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I work from an integrative approach—meaning I adapt my methods to suit the unique needs of each person I work with. My passion for this work is deeply personal. As someone with lived experience, I understand how isolating and overwhelming the healing journey can feel. That understanding is at the heart of how I hold space for others—gently, respectfully, and without judgment. I believe in the power of safe, therapeutic connection, and in each person’s ability to heal and reclaim their story. Whether you're just beginning to explore therapy or returning to it, I’ll meet you where you are—with warmth, compassion, and genuine care. 

I’m a proud parent of two amazing boys, and raising them has brought a deeper sense of meaning and understanding to my life. I’ve also been a carer for my son, which has given me invaluable insight into the challenges and difficulties that come with caring for a loved one. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and I cherish moments spent walking, enjoying time with loved ones, and creating lasting memories with friends. 

Additionally, I am fluent in Russian, which allows me to support Russian-speaking clients with ease and understanding.
