Counselling therapy is a confidential, supportive space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and challenges with a trained professional. It helps you gain clarity, explore options, and develop coping strategies to improve your mental and emotional well-being. 


During your first session with Tees Valley Therapy Space, your therapist will ask you questions to get to know you better and understand what brings you to counselling. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process. 


We’ll also go over the counselling contract, confidentiality, cancellation policy, and payment details. 


The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and preferences.  This will be discussed with your therapist during your first session to find a pace that feels right for you. 


That’s completely okay. Counselling isn’t the right fit for everyone. If you decide it's not for you, there’s no pressure to continue. We can also discuss other support options that might better suit your needs.
